Profile:

Michael R. Stackhouse II, Esq. is a New Jersey attorney whose practice focuses on estate planning, probate, municipal matters, real estate, matrimonial, and landlord/tenant law. He brings broad trial and litigation experience from boutique and mid-sized firms across Bergen County and New Jersey, and is known for his determination, practical advice, and client-focused representation throughout the state.

 

Background:

Michael R. Stackhouse II, Esq. is a California native who built his work ethic on the football field before turning fully to academics. He began his studies at Pasadena City College, earning Dean’s List honors and both an A.A. and A.S., then completed a B.A. in Political Science (Pre-Law) at California State University, Los Angeles, where he held leadership roles in honor and pre-law societies. Michael earned his J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts, where he was active in the Student Bar Association and several legal organizations. After law school, he moved to New Jersey, passed the Bar in 2015, and has practiced there ever since.

Michael’s experience spans landlord/tenant disputes, personal injury, family law, estate planning, probate, municipal court matters, real estate, contracts, small business formation, collections, and criminal and traffic matters. He has tried cases in the Law Division, Special Civil Part, and Small Claims as both first and second chair in the Superior Court of New Jersey. Before co-founding The Law Offices of Stackhouse & Bru in 2024, he practiced at firms across Bergen County and New Jersey, including boutique and mid-sized practices, refining his focus on estate planning, probate, municipal matters, real estate, matrimonial, and landlord/tenant law. Clients know Michael for his determination, trial experience, and practical, client-focused approach across the state of New Jersey.
